Canada’s PNPs allow Canadian provinces to nominate individuals for immigration to their province based on criteria set by the provincial government. Successful applicants obtain a provincial nomination, which may then be used to apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.

PNP Updates Year 2022:

Feb 2: British Columbia invited 8 entrepreneur candidates to apply for provincial nomination through the BC Entrepreneur stream.
Feb 1: Quebec announced the results of a January 27 draw which invited 322 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program. Invited candidates had scores at or above 647 points and job offers outside the Montreal region.
Feb 1: Alberta announced the results of a January 18 draw that invited 350 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 346.
Feb 1: British Columbia invited 126 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
Jan 27: Manitoba invited 315 candidates, including 69 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Jan 27: Ontario invited 1,032 Express Entry candidates through the Skilled Trades stream. This was the first OINP Skilled Trades draw for more than a year, and the largest such draw ever.
Jan 25: British Columbia invited 289 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP.
Jan 20: PEI invited 121 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 11 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
Jan 18: British Columbia invited 91 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw. Find out More.
Jan 18: Alberta announced the results of a January 5 draw that invited 250 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 327.
Jan 13: Quebec invited 512 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program.
Jan 13: Alberta announced a new Express Entry-aligned AINP pathway for tech workers, the Accelerated Tech Pathway.
Jan 13: Manitoba invited 443 candidates, including 97 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams. Find out more.
Jan 12: Saskatchewan invited 104 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
Jan 12: Ontario invited 502 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream.

Jan 4, 2022: British Columbia invited 102 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.

PNP Updates Year 2021

Dec 30, 2021: Manitoba invited 393 candidates, including 73 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Dec 21: British Columbia invited 243 candidates to apply to the BC PNP through a variety of streams.
Dec 21: Saskatchewan has launched a new International Healthcare Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) Pool. This is a a pre-application form that allows healthcare workers to indicate their interest in working in Saskatchewan, and will be used to match eligible workers with healthcare sector employers. Candidates may then apply through the SINP International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer stream or the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot.
Dec 20: Alberta revealed that the AINP has issued all 6,250 certificates for 2021, and that there are approximately 475 applications queued for processing under the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
Dec 16: PEI invited 114 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 11 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
Dec 16: Manitoba invited 349 candidates, including 64 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Dec 16: Saskatchewan announced that it plans to conduct draws for its SINP Entrepreneur category on January 6, 2022; March 3, 2022; and May 5, 2022.
Dec 15: British Columbia invited 11 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through its BC PNP Entrepreneur category.
Dec 14: British Columbia invited 71 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
Dec 14: Ontario outlined a plan to reboot its entrepreneur immigration options and to accept 100 entrepreneur immigrants after they invest a minimum of $200,000 in the Ontario economy.
Dec 8: Alberta announced the results of a November 24 draw that invited 100 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 350.
Dec 7: Ontario invited 1,186 candidates through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker, International Student, and In-Demand Skills streams.
Dec 7: British Columbia invited 267 candidates to apply to the BC PNP through a variety of streams.
Dec 2: Manitoba invited 438 candidates, including 71 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Nov 30: British Columbia invited 89 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
Nov 25: Saskatchewan announced an entirely new SINP stream — the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot Program. The eligible jobs under this pilot will facilitate immigration to Saskatchewan for workers in low and entry level positions, among others.

Nov 23: Alberta announced the results of a November 9 draw that invited 200 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 343.
Nov 23: British Columbia invited 357 candidates to apply to the BC PNP through a variety of streams.
Nov 22: Newfoundland revealed the results of three draws that have taken place over recent months for its Priority Skills stream. A total of 633 invitations have been issued across these three draws, with prioritisation given to professionals in certain medical and tech occupations.
Nov 18: PEI invited 172 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 16 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
Nov 18: Saskatchewan invited 633 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
Nov 18: Manitoba invited 428 candidates, including 68 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Nov 18: Nova Scotia added three new occupations to the eligibility list for the Occupations In Demand stream, including food & beverage servers, food counter attendants, and light duty cleaners.
Nov 17: Quebec announced the results of a Nov 11 draw that invited 33 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program.
Nov 16: British Columbia invited 87 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
Nov 11: Alberta announced the results of an October 16 draw that invited 248 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 300.

Nov 4: Ontario confirmed that it has asked Canada’s new immigration minister to double the allocation for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), from 9,000 to 18,000 annual nominations.
Nov 4: Manitoba invited 421 candidates, including 75 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
Nov 2: British Columbia invited 77 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
October 28: British Columbia invited 358 candidates to apply to the BC PNP through a variety of streams.
October 27: Quebec announced the results of an October 21 draw that invited 23 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program.
October 27: Ontario invited 1,408 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream.
October 26: Alberta announced the results of an October 12 draw that invited 293 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 300.

September 7: British Columbia invited 34 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a BC Tech draw.
September 7: Alberta invited 500 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 300. This is the largest draw in the program’s history.

August 18: New Brunswick announced a new pilot program for international graduates of four colleges in 19 occupations.
August 19: Quebec invited 502 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program.
Aug 17: British Columbia invited up to 440 candidates to apply to the BC PNP through a variety of streams.
August 12: Manitoba invited 275 candidates, including 36 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.

Aug 10: Ontario opened the Expression of interest system for the OINP Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams.

Aug 5: Saskatchewan invited 452 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
Aug 3: British Columbia invited 361 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. An additional draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 13 additional candidates.

May 25: British Columbia invited 323 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A second draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 47 additional candidates.
May 25: Saskatchewan invited 405 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
May 25: Alberta announced the results of a draw on May 18 in which 250 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 301.
May 25: Manitoba invited 232 candidates, including 20 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.

April 28: Ontario has re-opened the Foreign Worker and International Student categories of the OINP Employer Job Offer stream. These programs now use a points-based EOI selection system. Please refer to the OINP website for the most recent updates.
April 27: Alberta announced the results of a draw on April 20 in which 200 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 301.
April 27: British Columbia invited 348 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A second draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 14 additional candidates.
April 26: Manitoba invited 367 candidates, including 34 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP through three MPNP streams.
April 20: British Columbia invited 90 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a tech pilot draw.
April 19: Manitoba invited 399 candidates, including 373 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.
April 15: PEI invited 140 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 16 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
April 13: British Columbia invited 420 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A second draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 21 additional candidates. And, a third draw invited 11 candidates through BC’s entrepreneurial streams.
April 13: Alberta announced the results of a draw on April 6 in which 200 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 302.
April 13: Ontario invited 528 Express Entry candidates through the Human Capital Priorities stream. This was a Tech draw which only selected candidates with work experience in one of six tech occupations.
April 8: Manitoba invited 243 candidates, including 15 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.
April 8: Canada launched a new online application portal to allow non-Express Entry PNP applicants to submit their final PR applications digitally. This portal is only for the federal PR application occurring after an applicant has received their provincial nomination.
April 8: Saskatchewan invited 279 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
April 6: British Columbia invited 80 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through four streams of the BC PNP. This was a tech pilot draw.
March 30: Quebec invited 208 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Quebec Skilled Worker program.
March 30: Alberta announced the results of a draw on March 26 in which 300 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 301.
March 30: British Columbia invited 330 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through five streams of the BC PNP. A separate draw was held only for NOCs 0621 and 0631 which invited 44 additional candidates.
March 29: Nova Scotia invited Express Entry candidates who demonstrated French-language proficiency consistent with CLB 9 or above and English-language proficiency at CLB 7 or above. Candidates were invited through the Labour Market Priorities stream.
March 25: Manitoba invited 335 candidates, including 49 Express Entry candidates, to apply to the MPNP under three MPNP streams.
March 24: Saskatchewan invited 418 candidates from the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand streams of the SINP. Only certain occupations were considered.
March 23: British Columbia invited 95 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through a Tech Pilot draw targeting four streams of the BC PNP. The province also announced the extension of the BC Regional Immigration Pilot for another three years.
March 18: Quebec has announced opening dates for its three new pilot programs targeting: orderlies, food processing workers, and tech workers.
March 18: PEI invited 140 candidates to apply through the Labour & Express Entry streams. A further 10 invitations were issued in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.
March 16: Ontario announced that five streams of the OINP will be introducing a new points-based Expression of Interest (EOI) system for selecting candidates.
March 16: Alberta announced the results of a draw on March 2 in which 200 Express Entry candidates were invited with CRS scores as low as 301.

In addition, fresh Alberta Express Entry data shows that more than 3,000 invitations have been issued under this stream through 14 draws that have taken place so far this year; candidates with CRS scores as low as 300 have been invited.
