Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) is a collection of immigration streams of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) operated by the province of Manitoba. Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas encompasses three immigration streams that target foreign nationals who have the skills and experience needed to make lasting contributions to Manitoba’s labour force.

Applicants who are successful through any of these Manitoba streams will receive an official provincial nomination from Manitoba. This provincial nomination makes applicants eligible to apply for Canadian permanent resident status.

Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas Stream

The Manitoba Skilled Worker Overseas Stream uses a points-based system to assess candidates, who may be outside of Canada. Applications are accepted from qualified skilled workers who can demonstrate a strong connection to the province through family or friends, past education or employment, or by invitation of the MPNP, and who score a minimum of 60 points according to five eligibility factors. Learn more about the eligibility requirements for the Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas Stream.

Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

This pathway is for applicants of active Express Entry profile who are eligible under another MPNP stream and meet express entry requirements. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experience in an occupation listed in Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list and have strong family connection to Manitoba. Learn more about the eligibility requirements for the Manitoba Express Entry Pathway.

Manitoba Human Capital Pathway

This pathway will be open to foreign skilled workers with experience in Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations, and who demonstrate the ability to potentially establish themselves by building strong labour market connections to those occupations. Learn more about the eligibility requirements for the Manitoba Human Capital Pathway.

MPNP Points Assessment Grid

In order to be eligible to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, a candidate must score at least 60 points on the MPNP Points Assessment Grid.
