The PEI Express Entry targets the applicants from express entry pool those who want to live and work in Prince Edward Island province of Canada
The PEI Express Entry stream is one of several immigration streams of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) operated by the province of Prince Edward Island. The PEI Express Entry targets the applicants of Express Entry pool those who intend to live and work in Prince Edward Island permanently. The PEI Express Entry stream is having two pathways to the Canadian Permanent Residency which depends on whether a candidate is having a job offer from the PEI employer or not. Under this stream, priority will be given to the candidates living and working in the PEI.
To be eligible for the PEI Express Entry, the candidate must be eligible for one of the federal economic immigration class of Express entry:
- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW): FSW must need to have a minimum high school diploma to be eligible for this stream. The candidate must have at least one year of full-time continuous work experience obtained in the position of National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A or B. To be eligible for FSW, the candidate must also demonstrate the language proficiency skill level in English or French with CLB level 7.
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC): CEC does not have any education level requirement but the candidate must have one year of the full time of work experience obtained in the position of NOC Skill Level 0, A or B within the three years prior to the application. To be eligible for CEC, the candidate must also demonstrate the language proficiency skill in English or French. The candidate required CLB 7 if he/she is having work experience in the NOC Skill level 0 or A and CLB 5 if work experience is in NOC Skill level B.
- Federal Skilled Trader (FST): FST does not have any education level requirement but the candidate must have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade occupation to be eligible for FST. The candidate must have an offer of employment in a skilled trade from the Canadian employer or a Certificate of Qualification of their skilled trader authorized and issued by the Canadian authority. To be eligible for FST, the candidate must also demonstrate the language proficiency in English or French with CLB level 4 in reading and writing and CLB 5 in speaking and listening.
Once the candidate is registered under one of the federal economic classes in the Federal Express Entry, they must create a profile in the PEI EOI system. The profile is then reviewed and processed under the PEI Express Entry selection factors based on age, education, language, employment, work experience, and adaptability which adds up to a maximum of 100 points. If the candidate demonstrates the proficiency of language in both English and French, the Office of Immigration will award a bonus of 10 points to the candidate.

Application Procedure
The Express of Interest (EOI) system of PEI PNP Express Entry is similar to the Express Entry system. So, the candidate those who meet the eligibility of Express Entry must a profile to PEI’s pool of candidates. Candidate must need an Express Entry profile to be eligible for the PEI Express Entry stream. After submitting the profile, all the candidates will be ranked against each other on the basis of PEI Express Entry Points Grid. The highest-ranking candidate may be nominated and invited to submit a complete application to the PEI Express Entry stream in one of the category’s periodic draw.
Successful candidates will receive the notification of provincial nomination in their IRCC online account which they need to accept within 60 days. With the acceptance of the provincial nomination, the applicant’s CRS score will increase by 600 points which will guarantee virtually that the candidate will receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply) for the Canadian Permanent Residence status in the next Express Entry Draw.
