SINP Employment Offer

The Employment Offer stream welcomes the highest-scoring foreign nationals on the SINP Point Assessment Grid and having an employment offer from Saskatchewan employer.

The Employment Offer of Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker is one of several immigration streams of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program(SINP), a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) operated by the province of Saskatchewan. The Employment Offer stream welcomes the foreign nationals skilled workers those who score highest on the SINP point assessment grid and also have an employment offer from the Saskatchewan employer of a skilled occupation.

If the candidate is having an employment offer for an occupation of Food And Beverage Servers/Persons, they should apply under the Saskatchewan Hospitality Project stream and the health professionals should apply under the Saskatchewan Health Professionals stream.

Job Offer

To be eligible for Employment Offer Stream, the candidate must have a valid job offer for a full-time and permanent job position from a Saskatchewan employer. The candidate must be able to prove the job offer through a valid SINP Job Approval Letter. The job offer must be for a position for an occupation under National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix Skill Level A, B or 0 in a designated trade in Saskatchewan.

If the candidate’s intended occupation is in a compulsory apprenticeship or a regulated profession trade, they must able to demonstrate the proof of Saskatchewan licensure.

Language Proficiency

To be eligible for the SINP Employment Offer Stream, the candidate must demonstrate the language proficiency level in all four competencies – writing, reading, listening, and speaking through the valid test results obtained within the last two years prior to the applying of application.

The candidate must able to demonstrate the ability of language skills with the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4 or higher through the following valid English or French test:

  • For English:
    • International English Language Testing (IELTS) – General Training test only
    • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) – General test only
  • For French:
    • Test d’évaluation de français pour le Canada (TEF Canada)
    • Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada (TCF Canada)

Work Experience

The candidate must have at least one year of full-time work experience or the equivalent to the part-time work obtained in the last 10 years prior to the submission of the application to SINP in the occupation listed in your employment offer.

Points Assessment Grid

To be eligible for the Employment Offer stream, the candidate must score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.

Ineligible Applicants

The candidates are ineligible for the Employment Offer steam, if they are:

  • refugee claimants who are claiming refugee status in Canada from the government of Canada
  • health professionals
  • food and beverage persons/servers
  • failed to submit SINP required documentation
  • unable to demonstrate the intent to live and work in Saskatchewan
  • internationally misrepresented in the application.

Application Procedure

The Saskatchewan Employment Offer stream is open all the time to accept applications from the eligible candidates. The eligible candidates may submit an application for nomination using the online portal of SINP without any application fee. This stream does not have any application fees. On the application approval, the SINP will notify the applicant via email regarding the successful provincial nomination selection of an applicant. The applicant will now receive the letter of provincial nomination, with the help of which the applicant will able to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence status. After receiving the provincial nomination, the applicant will required to submit a paper-based application for Canadian Permanent Residence status to IRCC within six months by mailing to the appropriate application centre which is generally processed within 18 months.

The applicant is required to score 60 points out of 100 points to be considered for the SINP Employment Offer stream which is scored on the basis of education, work experience, language ability, age, and connections & adaptability to the Saskatchewan labour market.
